Chris, Chairman of the education policy consulting firm FourPoint Education Partners, serves as a distinguished senior fellow with the Education Commission of the States and is a consultant to the Broad Foundation. Chris brings considerable strategic planning, policy analysis, and development skills to the table. In addition to serving on numerous educational policy boards and research councils, he was a senior fellow with the Center for Education Policy and has served in the U.S. Department of Education as Assistant Secretary for Educational Research and Improvement, facilitating the negotiated rule-making process on Title 1 for the Department.
Chris has written extensively in the education and public policy areas and has been published in numerous scholarly and technical publications including Education Week, The College Board Review, Washington Post and LA Times. He has published the book Political Education: National Policy Comes of Age in 2003.
Chris has a B.A. from Whittier College and an M.A. in government from California State University.
